Objective
To be recognized as a professional Fashion and Costume Designer, and gain the experience I need to be successful in the fashion industry.

Education
2010 – 2013      New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, Fredericton, NB               
Fashion Design Diploma
s  Technical and creative training in fashion design, including pattern drafting, garment construction, fabric identification, and illustration (CAD).
2007 – 2012      New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, and University of New Brunswick
Bachelor of Applied Arts (split program)
s  Studio major in Fashion Design, the BAA teaches hands on training in Fine Craft at the university level of skill.

Volunteer work     
2005-current
Costume Design Mistress
s  Design costumes for New England Role-playing Organization(NERO). I receive a budget; purchase fabric, and create the specified costume in demand for the game.
2008-2008
Scout Camp Councilor
s  Responsible for 3 groups of 10-12 girls ages 11-14 for a week long camp, Scouts Canada.

Sales/Customer Service/Weekend Manager
s  Part time, locally owned pewter retailer and distributor. Learning business management skills, to make custom design jewelry, and responsibilities for cash and store security.

s  Part time, retailer of specialty coffee and teas, all fair trade. Learned leadership skills and effective customer relations.

Sales/Fashion Associate
s  Part time, fast paced retail outlet. Learned customer service and cash responsibilities while working in the fashion industry.

Skills and Awards
Debuted in the NBCCD 15th Annual fashion show, Style to Walk: A Fierce Fashion Affair. Showed a 6 piece line titled Fashion Worth Plundering

Received the 2011 Fabricville Award for the highest GPA entering into the NBCCD Fashion Design program.

Received the 2012 Fashion Design Award, First year category

Entrepreneurship skills in running a commission based, self-employed online website and business: “Sara Nycole Couture
Second Prize in Digital World’s Halloween costume contest, honors for constructing and designing the costumes by hand.

Leadership qualities learned through work and education and initiative to participate, experience and grow stronger.

Workshop experience in Bra making, Corseting, and Tailoring.
Professional experience in fashion Photography and Illustration. Knowledge in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with relation to fashion illustration.
