Fleece Hats

Some of my Fleece Hats

These will be the first of many fleece hats I'll be introducing. Some were just my musings to create, others were commissions by friends or gifts for family. Some photos are professionally done in a studio, some are my own doing. Please enjoy the assortement.

Most Recent :  Skyrim's Horned Helm

This was a commission for a replica of the Horned Helm from the video game Skyrim. It took a lot of blood sweat and tears to bring this creation to life, especially learning to make the full size horns and hand sewing them to the helmet portion. And though it wont do much to protect your head while slaying dragons, it will defiantly keep your ears warm!

 Creeper and Timbah Wolf (BJD)

The Creeper is from a computer game called Minecraft, and started out as a way to test out a pattern for making a full scale hat. I only made the Timbah wolf beacuase I did not have enough gray or black fleece left so the wolf was made from brown. They will both fit a 20-24cm head, and the full scales will hopefully turn out just as fabulous.

Pink Bunny for a Ball Jointed Doll
This is the result of my latest obsession: Asian ball jointed dolls. I found a little extra pink fleece hidden away from when I made the FlutterShy hat, but it wasn't a very big piece. So I decided to see if I could make a hat for a 22cm head circumference, and it turned out very cute.

FlutterShy
FluttersShy from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. I DO NOT own the characters, but I had a lot of fun making this one, and plan on doing more.

She is made with my personally drafted pattern, so she doesn't have the ugly seams behind her ears. Her mane is sculpted fleece, and the cutey mark is hand embroidered.

Red Fox
This is my red fox hat, which I were proudly almost every day. After admiring a lot of fleece fox hats on the internet, and a lot of trial and error, I figured out how to make the ears the way I wanted. I don't like the seams behind the ears, so I figured out a way around them.

Dragon
This is the dragon hat that I happily made for my significant other as a Christmas gift. He has a thing for dragon collectibles, and loves the hat. I plan on making a more elaborate dragon hat eventually, with more horns and possibly wings.

Flamingo
The Pink Flamingo, oh the fun I had making this. This was a commission from a roommate for his step-mom. She was turning 50 that year, and he didn't have the time/money to put 50 flamingos on his parent's front yawn. Instead he got me to build this, and she loves it to this day, despite hating the colour pink.
